STOBG CARES: Hiking for Hospice in Ireland
4 Peaks Challenge
3,637m climbed. 917km driven. 4 Irish provinces covered. These staggering numbers comprise what is known as the Structure Tone 4 Peaks Challenge, in which a group of employees attempts to hike the highest peak in each of the four Irish provinces in under 24 hours. This summer, members of the Structure Tone Dublin team took the challenge head on to benefit a worthy cause.
On July 27 and 28, the team accomplished their mission, raising over €57,000 for St. Francis Hospice. Based in North Dublin, the hospice is a charity organisation under the care of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. Staff and volunteers at St. Francis Hospice provide specialist palliative care services for people in late stages of cancer, at no charge to patients.
“Anyone who has had a loved one fight a losing battle with cancer will know how difficult an experience it can be, especially towards the end,” says James Reidy, Structure Tone Dublin managing director. “St. Francis Hospice provides their patients and patients’ families an invaluable service in a distressing time. They are an incredibly worthy charity, and we were proud and honored to take on this challenge to support them.”

Since our founding, creating lasting and positive impact in the communities we work in has been an essential part of our core responsibility and values. We support, encourage, and recognize our employees’ brilliant efforts to help address causes and improve our communities.
We are so proud of our employees’ efforts from chairing major events to raising desperately needed funds for surgery, to building a new playground, and working with high school students interested in construction and engineering careers. Staff throughout our organization invest their time and resources to make an essential and lasting difference in people’s lives.
