Ensuring Safety
Our goal is ZERO accidents. LF Driscoll is dedicated to continuously improving our safety program, enforcement of safety compliance, training, and the elimination of exposures to hazards on the job site. We participate in the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and OSHA Partnership programs. We operate best practices to ensure the wellbeing of facility staff, occupants, visitors, and the general public.
We partner with the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council to provide 30-hour and 10-hour OSHA training for all our staff. We also require subcontractor foremen to complete the 30-hour OSHA training. As a result, our 2015 EMR was 0.72 – well below the national average. Or firm has established the LF Driscoll Center of Excellence: a 30-hour training program in healthcare construction protocols that prepares our builders for the Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) program offered by the American Hospital Association.
