Mason Hayes & Curran
The works at L2 The Warehouse was the third project for Mason Hayes & Curran completed by Structure Tone. Mason Hayes & Curran are one of the leading corporate law firms in Dublin.
The works were carried out within a protected structure which once formed part of the historic Boland’s Mill factory.
Prior to commencing works on site, Structure Tone engaged with a conservation architect to carry out a full conditions survey and agree what interventions could be undertaken within the strict guidelines of the preservation order on the building. The project included the installation of a new VRF air conditioning system, electrical, and IT works along with the provision of open plan work spaces. A number of private meeting rooms were also provided.
The existing roof light and timber joisting was left exposed and a system of suspension rods was specifically designed to accommodate lighting, tray-work, ducting, and the like. New automated roof blinds were also fitted.
An external gantry was constructed to house the new air handling and heat recovery units, and a new back-up generator was installed in the service yard.
On completion of the fit out, a further inspection (including full photographic records) was carried out in order to record all works and confirm that they had been carried out within the terms of the conservation report.
