TripAdvisor approached Structure Tone to undertake the fast-track, 26,395sf of refurbishment as part of a major expansion in the UK market that was phased over four floors and includes an American diner and a slick New York-style roof top terrace lounge among its many feature floors.
The project itself is situated within a historic building in the heart of London’s Soho Square. A project in this location can suffer from a number of logistical problems; however, with early planning and engagement with the supply chain, building management and the local authorities, those logistical issues were overcome from Day 1.
TripAdvisor’s primary design objective was to create a professional yet ‘quirky’ space that would clearly communicate their brand and accommodate its fast-paced growth under a reasonably priced budget.
A partnership between Structure Tone and IA Interior Architects managed to capture the client’s vision and was able to meld the building’s period features with TripAdvisor’s very distinguishable identity. This was accomplished by introducing the company’s distinct colour scheme throughout the space by the means of cleverly placed graphics, finishes and furniture.
This project was completed within 15 weeks, beating TripAdvisor’s expectations.
