In recent years, the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies along with parts of the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science have been rapidly expanding. To meet the demands for their increasing number of science, engineering, and nursing students, Hofstra University partnered with Structure Tone New York to build their new 75,000sf Center for Science and Innovation.
Utah Valley University’s Woodbury School of Business –the largest business school in the state – hosts more than 6,000 students and is on track to welcome even more with the new 180,000sf Scott C. Keller Building.
Structure Tone New Jersey completed the renovation of Cullimore Lecture Hall at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. Our team worked with NJIT to improve the room’s functionality and refresh the aesthetics, benefiting the entire campus community by providing an updated space for a variety of gatherings.
Our firm renovated the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in Nutley, a project comprised of 24,000sf on the 4th floor of building 123 on their campus. The renovation focused on the 4300 pod and the 4500 pod.
Originally constructed in the 1970s, LF Driscoll upgraded the HVAC systems, replaced restrooms, and updated finishes throughout Lang Music Hall, with much of the focus on completely renovating Presser Hall.

At the end of 2019, Layton broke ground on the expansion of the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium, which included adding state-of-the-art locker rooms, two 177ft concrete towers, press boxes, and the Ken Garff Red Zone and premium suites that increased the capacity of the stadium by 5,637 seats.
Working within an occupied campus, Structure Tone set out to convert an existing building, both shell space and renovations, into new ITS Networking and ITS Security spaces. Maintaining the historic character of the building was a key feature of the project and held by the project team in the highest regard.
Layton was selected as the builder for the UCF Lake Nona Medical Center project, based largely on the expertise of the assembled team, our experience in pull planning and technologies like BIM 360 and, subcontractor selection. We chose trusted subcontractors to ensure both our expectations and our client's were understood from the beginning.
