In order to provide the level of service our clients require, we work with reputable, experienced firms that are committed to delivering quality and meeting project objectives. As a condition of working on projects for STO Building Group (STOBG), the subcontractor must also review, accept, and abide by the applicable Supplier Code of ConductGo to https://stobuildinggroup.com/compliance/supplier-code/.
Get Qualified
STO Building Group (STOBG) has partnered with COMPASS for our U.S. Subcontractor Prequalification Program. COMPASS is a secure, web-based application designed to allow subcontractors to efficiently satisfy prequalification requests from multiple GCs by completing a single prequalification form (COMPASS 1Form).
Information Submission Requirements (Annually)
You will need to complete COMPASS 1Form along with STOBG Specific Supplemental Form within COMPASS. You will also be required to upload the following documents:
- W-9
- Project References
- Experience Modification Rating (EMR)
- OSHA 300/300A Forms
- Financial Statements
- Banking, Bonding, and Insurance Information

Do I need to do anything if I am already prequalified with an STOBG company?
No, not until you come up for renewal, however if you are already in COMPASS, you can authorize us at any time prior to your renewal.Is there a fee for using COMPASS?
COMPASS is a paid subscription-based service. If you’ve already registered and paid for COMPASS previously, no additional charges will apply.I only work with one of the STOBG companies. Do I still need to prequalify through COMPASS?
Yes, all STOBG businesses are now using COMPASS except for Abbott, Govan Brown, Layton, Structure Tone Southwest, and Structure Tone International (London and Dublin). This includes Ajax, BCCI, LF Driscoll, Pavarini McGovern, Pavarini North East, RC Andersen, and Structure Tone.Which STO Building Group (STOBG) businesses does this apply to?
