Structure Tone London Wins Big with Eataly
Eataly London receives 2021 Mixology Awards honors
Built by Structure Tone, Eataly’s London location has won Project of the Year in the 2021 “Bar & Leisure” category of the Mixology AwardsGo to https://www.mixinteriors.com/events/mixology-awards/past-winners/, hosted by Mix Interiors magazine.
Inspired by Italy’s passion for “slow food,” Eataly’s latest location at 135 Bishopgate in London is not only a marketplace for delectable restaurants and bars, but it’s also an award-winning project that brings flavor and conviviality to its customers.
After a long-standing partnership with STO Building Group, Eataly CEO Nicola Farinetti and his team tapped Structure Tone London to deliver the Italian marketplace to its newest premises. The location offers three restaurants and bars on two floors, six separate eateries, a cookery school, and a market that stocks over 5,000 products.
After almost three years of planning, constructing, and overcoming obstacles such as Brexit and COVID-19, the team completed Eataly LondonGo to https://stobuildinggroup.com/projects/eataly-london/, which opened its doors to the public in April of 2021, resulting in a 42,000sf awe-inspiring market and retail space. Using a high level of architectural and construction restraint, the project team took one of London’s most vibrant projects and brought it to life.
Additionally, guests also have the privilege of enjoying the elegant outdoor dining space called La Terrazza di Eataly, an Aperol Spritzeria, and the largest Italian wine collection in London.
Apart from the many attractions Eataly London offers, it was Structure Tone London’s teamwork and quality results that earned the team the 2021 Project of the Year Awards in the Mixology Awards’ Bar and Leisure category.
The award ceremony, which took place in London’s Battersea Park, was the grandest compared to previous years with over 1,400 industry experts and professionals in attendance. The ceremony honored and recognized two years’ worth of projects, products, and people in commercial interior design in the United Kingdom. The Eataly London project was nominated for the 2021 Mixology Award Shortlist in July.
“Eataly London is a project that endured such an amazing journey, story, and lifecycle to it,” said Jack Dixon, project director at Structure Tone London. “It’s a great success story.”
