Sparks Children’s Charity
Structure Tone UK has been a main sponsor of the Sparks Children’s Charity’s annual golf event, Jason Leonard Celebrity Classic, for six years running. This year, Structure Tone has helped raise £20,000, which helps the charity fund groundbreaking medical research for children. British Heart Foundation
Supporting and sponsoring a charity event for all employees to participate in, our Structure Tone UK employees cycled 54 miles from London to Brighton in aid of the British Heart Foundation, raising over £2,000. The money raised helps the British Heart Foundation fund pioneering medical research which helps transform the lives of those living with heart and circulatory conditions. Corporate Social Responsibility
We also look to enhance the communities within which we work. An example would be on our Docklands project with Thomson Reuters. Unemployment is very high in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH). Thomson Reuters is dedicated to supporting the local community and has made a commitment to the LBTH planning department to generate as much employment as possible throughout the construction phase of the project.
By supporting Thomson Reuters to achieve this goal, we have participated in council-led initiatives promoting access to employment in the area (directly or indirectly) through suppliers and sub-contractors, aiming to achieve a target of 20 percent. This also includes a target of procuring greater than 20 percent of contracts from companies and organisations based in the LBTH area throughout construction development.
