Jay Smith is President of Ajax Building Company, a third-generation leader carrying forward the legacy established by his grandfather and Ajax founder. Having grown up in the construction industry, Jay has spent his entire career with Ajax, beginning as a field laborer and intern while earning his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He progressed through the organization as a project engineer to Director of Business Development, Vice President, and ultimately President, gaining firsthand experience across every facet of the business. Jay has built a reputation for exceeding owner expectations while fostering Ajax’s employee-owned culture and upholding the company’s longstanding belief that “Quality Builds Its Own Reputation.”
