Structure Tone Southwest earns three industry awards
Our Structure Tone Southwest team was recently honored with three awards for local projects and for the company’s commitment to safety. The first two were from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), the international nonprofit trade association for the global tilt-up concrete construction industry, which is a method of building construction in which large concrete walls are lifted (tilted) into position.
The TCA honored Structure Tone Southwest’s “tilt-up” construction for the new offices of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in Irving with its “Tilt-Up Achievement Award” for helping the organization efficiently build a brand new office to accommodate its rapidly growing staff and membership. The TCA also awarded Structure Tone Southwest with its “Best Tilt-Up Safety Award” for the company’s exceptional safety record.
The third award was for our work to build a new office for Houston-based energy trading firm Vitol. In its annual Excellence in Construction Awards program, the American Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston honored the Structure Tone Southwest team with an Excellence Award for the new office. The strikingly designed two-floor, open-concept, 60,000sf space posed a number of construction challenges, from the intricate ceiling, to the raised floor system of the trading floor, to the elaborate artwork on display throughout the office.
“We are so proud to be honored by our peers for the high-quality work we’re doing across the state,” says Joseph Cribbin, president of Structure Tone Southwest. “We pride ourselves in being able to safely tackle whatever type of construction a project needs, and these two projects are great examples of that diverse spectrum.”
Now heading into its 40th year in operation, Structure Tone Southwest has built or renovated buildings across Texas, from Fortune 500 company headquarters, to hotels and cultural venues, to data centers for leaders in mission critical services. The firm employs nearly 200 construction professionals in its Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio offices.
