2026 STOBG RPE Boot Camp Develops Emerging Construction Leaders
AUSTIN, TX (April 6, 2026) – STO Building Group (STOBG) recently brought together rotational project engineers (RPEs) and project engineers from across the company for the 2026 STOBG RPE Boot Camp in Austin, Texas. Focused on helping RPEs hone their client relations skills, the event gave participants hands-on experience strengthening leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.

The STOBG RPE Program helps emerging construction professionals gain experience across major operational disciplines, including field operations, estimating, purchasing, and field engineering. The annual Boot Camp serves as an opportunity for participants to expand their professional skillsets while building connections across the STOBG family.
This year’s program featured guest speaker Kurt Robbins, Founder and Executive Coach of KRobbins Consulting, who led sessions on public speaking, presentation delivery, and body language. Joanna Surdyka, Regional Marketing Manager for Structure Tone, also shared insights on building impactful presentations that help teams win work.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation competition, where participants worked in teams to develop and deliver mock client presentations while taking on roles such as project executive, superintendent, and safety manager. Judges praised the professionalism and preparation demonstrated throughout the competition.
The event was supported by leaders from across the STOBG family, as well as HR and marketing teams who helped coordinate programming and logistics.
The 2026 STOBG RPE Boot Camp showcased the strong emerging talent across STOBG and reinforced the company’s commitment to developing the next generation of construction leaders.
