Grand View Health Hospital Expansion
LF Driscoll is helping Grand View Health prepare for what’s next when it comes to healthcare. The LF Driscoll team is currently building a 6-story, 198,000sf expansion to their existing hospital in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The expansion will feature a new Emergency Department with 28 treatment rooms and 2 trauma bays, a full-service radiology suite, and a cardiac catherization lab inclusive of 10 operating rooms, 26 flexible acuity intensive care rooms, and 26 med-surge private patient rooms. Designed by Ballinger, the new pavilion is expected to open in the summer of 2023.
The Jackie Robinson Museum
Working with Gensler and Zubatkin, Structure Tone New York is hard at work finishing the fit-out of the Jackie Robinson Museum in lower Manhattan, a space intended to inspire visitors to embrace the humanitarian values that defined Robinson’s life. More than a permanent tribute to Robinson’s legacy, the museum will serve as a venue for vibrant dialogue on critical social issues and innovative educational programming.
Adjoining the Jackie Robinson Foundation offices built by Structure Tone in 2009, the 18,500sf museum is expected to debut in the summer of 2022 and will highlight the Brooklyn Dodgers legend and his contribution to both sports and life at large in a newly renovated space that features permanent exhibitions, flexible event spaces with retracting walls, and a reference library. The scope of work also involves creating a new lobby, coat check, gift shop, classrooms, galleries, and supporting facilities, including restrooms. Work is currently approximately 75% complete, continuing through the beginning of 2022. At that stage, the team will hand over a “white box” space to the exhibit designers/vendors and assist in the coordination, fabrication, and installation of museum displays and showcases. The museum is scheduled to open in the spring of 2022.
