Christopher Barbee
Independent Board Member
Christopher Barbee, Board of Directors Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee for STO Building Group, is a 38-year veteran of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC (PwC), and has an extensive background in forensic audit, compliance and risk assessment. Most recently, he led PwC’s Global Forensic Services Practice from 2009 to 2014 after serving as the Advisory Partner in the Forensic Practice from 1995.
Chris worked his way up in the organization from Staff Accountant to Senior Manager and, after making Partner in 1987, he was active in the Assurance Practice. Chris also has significant international experience as a result of various international projects and two multi-year European assignments with PwC.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Chris has extensive experience advising Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, and Special Focus Committees. Chris is also a guest lecturer on the topic of securities litigation and forensic accounting at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of Missouri. A magna cum laude graduate of The University of Missouri, College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, he resides with his family in Media, PA.
