Leadership Bio
Jason Herman is Compliance Counsel overseeing STO Building Group’s equal employment opportunity policies and procedures, as well as compliance with the various legal requirements that apply when doing business with the Federal government. In this role, Jason oversees our affirmative action programs, assists business units in implementing Federal requirements, and advises our Legal Department on contract clauses that require compliance with Federal contractor regulations. He also partners with Human Resources on recruitment, outreach, training, and inhouse apprenticeship programs. Before joining STOBG, Jason was Deputy Counsel at the NYC School Construction Authority where he led investigations related to racketeering, bribery, fraudulent schemes, and Labor Law violations perpetrated by companies doing business with, as well as those employed by, the SCA. He also conducted compliance and regulatory investigations, developed and reviewed internal policies and procedures, and created compliance training programs for over 1,000 SCA employees. Prior to joining the SCA, Jason was an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx and Nassau Counties, prosecuting both violent and white-collar crimes.
