STO Building Group
Leah serves as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and is responsible for leading our organization’s compliance and audit programs. In her role, she oversees the compliance and audit teams and the strategic direction of the ethics and compliance function, promoting effective internal controls and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and strengthening a culture of integrity.
Before joining STOBG, Leah was the director of financial disclosure compliance and counsel at the NYS Joint Commission on Public Ethics, the agency that enforces the state’s ethics and lobbying laws. Her experience in public service followed several years as a litigator at Am Law 100 firms, handling complex commercial cases and providing counsel on compliance and labor and employment matters. Early in her career, Leah clerked for a U.S. federal judge, managing cases and drafting orders and opinions in one of the most active federal trial courts in the nation.
Leah received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. A proud alumnus of Fordham Law School, Leah later served as an adjunct professor there, teaching legal writing and research and lawyering fundamentals to first-year law students.
