Completed in a rural part of Arizona, the Yuma County Detention Annex included an expansion to an operating correctional facility for juveniles convicted of adult offenses. This expansion consisted of 81 cells, a prisoner tunnel, a single master control room, a tunnel complex, an underground parking facility, a warehouse facility, and administrative offices.

The State of Wyoming Department of Corrections initially sought hard bids on the construction of the new Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington. When bids came back nearly twice the amount of the original budget, the Wyoming officials, along with the design firm and Layton Construction, worked closely through a preconstruction partnership to bring the construction costs within budget.

The Ute Indian Tribal Justice Center is a jail and courts facility that includes spaces for juvenile detention, adult detention, law enforcement and courts. The facility functions under direct supervision, allowing the detention staff to build personal relationships with the inmates.

The Kane County Public Safety Complex is a two-story building comprised of internal multi-jurisdictional law enforcement agencies, administration, and training offices.
