Structure Tone to build the model village for HAVAS
Structure Tone London has won the contract to fit out HAVAS’ new ‘HAVAS Village’ in St. Pancras Square.
HAVAS is one of the world’s largest global communications groups. Founded in 1835 in Paris, the group now employs 18,000 people in over 100 countries. As a business. they are committed to being the world’s best company at creating meaningful connections between people and brands through creativity, media and innovation and this ethos is to be represented in their new headquarters.
Understanding HAVAS’ ethos and representing this in the delivery of their headquarters was essential to Structure Tone’s selection as the contractor for this project. HAVAS is formed of almost 20 creative and media agencies, currently located across London, and Structure Tone is proud to be able to assist them in uniting these agencies under one roof, encouraging movement and building collaboration amongst them.
The 160,000sf UK headquarters will boast an exciting design including warm timbers, concrete and patinated steel, navigated through 10 staircases. The centrepiece of the building is situated in the reception where a bespoke patinated staircase, adorned with custom artwork will welcome employees, clients and guests.
Structure Tone is using aspects of BIM to create a collaborative environment between client, consultant and delivery teams.
“We have collected extensive point cloud data throughout the building to allow the mechanical, electrical and staircase designers to work in 3D ‘real-world’ as-built conditions. Embracing this technology has enabled live 3D coordination and a more rapid approval process than traditional methods.” says Dan King, BIM Manager for Structure Tone.
