Crain’s includes three Structure Tone projects in its “Five Coolest Offices in New York 2018”
This year, Crain’s conducted an open-ended survey to determine New York City’s five coolest office spacesGo to https://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20180611/FEATURES/180609921. Crain’s criteria were flexible, but the space’s aesthetics, functionality, sustainability and innovative aspects all factored into the publication’s ultimate decision to include three of Structure Tones’ projects in their final list: Gensler, Itochu International and Nixon Peabody.
Gensler, one of Structure Tone’s architectural partners, was recognized for their sleek and functional workplace that balances numerous conference rooms with common areas that encourage collaboration. The office’s 5-story wooden, interconnecting staircase and design center, complete with hundreds of sample and reference materials, were both major factors in Crain’s decision to include Gensler’s space in their top five.

Itochu’sGo to https://stobuildinggroup.com/itochu-international/ colorful office, sprinkled with Japanese lanterns that acknowledge the company’s heritage, also caught Crain’s attention. Structure Tone was enlisted to help Itochu relocate their US headquarters and transition from their previously enclosed office environment to a more modern, open space. The company’s new design features 12-foot ceilings, glass panels that embrace natural light and breakout work stations that allow for greater employee communication.

The incredible views of Manhattan’s skyline helped secure Nixon Peabody’sGo to https://stobuildinggroup.com/nixon-peabody-llp/ spot on Crain’s top five coolest offices. From over 20 stories up, Nixon Peabody’s new space features glass walls to accommodate natural light, while providing a picturesque view of the city from any point in the office. The bright space features a stacked, three-floor internal stair, corner meeting rooms and collaborative areas, and is LEED Gold certified.
