STO Building Group Adds Two Senior Leaders to Executive Team
Michael Luciani and Matt Sarver join the firm to fill new strategic growth roles
New York, NY (June 5, 2023) – The STO Building Group has added two new leadership roles to the organization. Michael Luciani has joined the firm as the new Senior Vice President of Strategic Market Growth and Matthew Sarver is taking on the role of Regional Operations Executive for the STOBG Eastern Region.
Michael Luciani, Senior Vice President of Strategic Market Growth
Luciani works with STO Building Group’s extended leadership team to develop data-driven insights and recommendations to support new business opportunities and long-term market sector growth.
“We have grown substantially in the last several years and want to be sure our family of companies continue to have the freedom to operate independently and are also working toward a shared vision and strategy for success,” says Amy Wincko, STOBG Chief Strategy Officer. “Mike has a long track record of managing this very kind of strategic growth, and we’re thrilled to have him on our team.”
Luciani comes to STOBG after nearly 20 years of sector growth, sales, and strategic leadership roles at high-profile AEC and real estate services firms—which followed well over a decade of on-the-ground AEC technology and pharmaceutical /biotech process engineering. His career led to experience and expertise in nearly all sectors, from public facilities and heavy infrastructure to hospitals, life sciences, and commercial buildings.
Luciani will work closely with STOBG’s senior leadership team and sector leadership across the entire organization to identify opportunities and strategies to strengthen the company in target sectors.
Matt Sarver, Regional Operations Executive, Eastern Region
As Regional Operations Executive for the STOBG Eastern Region, Sarver will work with the leaders of STOBG companies to better collaborate, grow, and continue to build smarter for their clients. This role includes developing plans and targets for market and sector growth, as well as coordinating the company’s regional strategy with client development, operations, contract management, and the overall organization’s goals.
“Our family of companies approach allows each of our companies to preserve their history and local relationships, but it does also mean we have several brands operating in close proximity to each other at any given time,” says Greg Dunkle, STOBG Chief Administrative Officer. “Matt is here to help bring all of those companies together strategically to ensure we’re leveraging our considerable expertise in each company to benefit our clients and the overall organization.”
Sarver comes to STOBG after spending nearly 20 years at a large, East Coast-based construction management firm.
“With our family-of-companies structure, we have this incredible network of expertise and local knowledge we can tap into to serve clients virtually anywhere,” says STO Building Group CEO Bob Mullen. “Mike and Matt will be integral to identifying the opportunities where that collaborative approach will most benefit our processes and our clients’ projects.”
Luciani holds an MBA and bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from Villanova University. Sarver earned his degree in construction management from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
