STO Building Group Companies Announce Several Executive Promotions
March 23rd, 2022 – A number of senior professionals across the STO Building Group family of companies have been promoted to executive positions, reflecting the strength of leadership and opportunity across the organization.
BCCI Construction
Armond Balaian – Division Vice President
Armond Balaian, LEED AP, has been promoted to Division Vice President of BCCI’s Silicon Valley office. In this role, Balaian’s responsibilities will include implementing the company’s strategic planning initiatives, overseeing operations and leading key accounts across the Silicon Valley region, and providing leadership and guidance to departments and studios.
Wendy Peterson – Division Vice President
BCCI also promoted Wendy Peterson, LEED AP, to Division Vice President of its San Francisco office. In this role, Peterson will manage operations across the division, oversee significant platforms to support innovation and increase effectiveness, and focus on strategic client accounts and growth in the company’s key market sectors.
RC Andersen
Steven Sroka – Vice President
Steven Sroka joined RC Andersen as Project Manager in 2012, helping bring projects from concept to completion. As Vice President, Sroka will continue to manage all phases of construction projects with clients and mentoring project teams.
Structure Tone New York
Stacey Dackson – Vice President, Operations Manager
After serving as the VP & Director of Special Projects for the last four years, and with a resume spanning almost every aspect of interiors construction, Stacey Dackson has been promoted to VP, Operations Manager. Since taking over the Special Projects Division in 2018, Dackson has maintained strong relationships with existing and new clients, including Nomura, Futures Action Network, and Lamborghini. Dackson joined Structure Tone as a superintendent in 2005 and is a founding member of STOBG’s Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (DISC).
Harold Maierle – Senior Vice President, Operations Director
Harold Maierle has been a part of Structure Tone since joining the company over 30 years ago. As Senior Vice President, Operations Director, Maierle is an integral part of the leadership team. In addition to overseeing several key client accounts, he is responsible for the coordination and project assignment of all site staff. Maierle also leads the onboarding process for new operations personnel and is an essential part of the development, organization, and promotion of Structure Tone New York’s rotational project engineer (RPE) program.
Dennis Murray – Senior Vice President
Dennis Murray continues his leadership of Structure Tone New York’s preconstruction services as Senior Vice President. Murray began his career at Structure Tone as a Rotational Project Engineer in London in 1995 before joining the New York office as junior estimator four years later. In his Senior VP role, Murray will supervise all preconstruction efforts, provide strategic oversight of CM estimating services, and lead the development of top pursuits, client presentations, and other RFP efforts. Additionally, Murray will be responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships in New York as well as other business units.
Lou Ottrando – Vice President, Senior Account Executive
A construction team leader with over 20 years of experience, Lou Ottrando progressed from a project engineer to roles in project management before joining Structure Tone New York as an Account Executive in 2010. For the past decade, Ottrando has worked on several high-profile projects, including MetLife and NBCUniversal, and has led the New York Google account for the past five years. As Vice President, Senior Account Executive, he will continue to manage his teams with exemplary leadership and cultivate long-standing client and consultant relationships. Ottrando is also a member of Make-A-Wish’s Real Estate Council.
Rich Ryan – Vice President, Senior Account Executive
Rich Ryan has over 30 years of professional experience in the industry, both on the construction and client side, and over 14 years at Structure Tone New York. He has demonstrated his first-class leadership skills on some of Structure Tone New York’s most significant projects, including the recent completion of Deutsche Bank’s 1.2Msf headquarters. Ryan’s other high-profile accounts include OppenheimerFunds, Colgate-Palmolive, Allen & Company, and Spotify. As Vice President, Senior Account Executive, Ryan will continue overseeing our most high-profile, complex endeavors.
Structure Tone Southwest
Justin Goodman – Vice President of Business Development
Well known throughout the Houston business community, Justin Goodman has spent the last several years focused on business development for Structure Tone Southwest, supporting new and longtime client relationships while developing growth strategies in the company’s healthcare and energy sectors. As Vice President, Goodman will help lead the charge for Structure Tone Southwest in serving its clients throughout Texas and across the greater STO Building Group.
STO Building Group Corporate Services
Suzanne Donaghy – Vice President, Information Technology, Enterprise Business Applications & IT Strategic Planning
Suzanne Donaghy oversees all STOBG business applications while also focusing on IT strategy, business planning, and governance. With years of CIO experience under her belt and now as Vice President, Donaghy will continue to lead business application transformation, align enterprise business applications, and help drive the execution of the company’s data and innovation initiatives.
Leah Ramos – Vice President, Regulatory Compliance Counsel
As part of STO Building Group’s Compliance team, Leah Ramos develops and helps institute company policies and procedures, leads ethics and compliance training and communications, and oversees conflicts of interest issues. Over the last two-plus years, she has also been a key advisor on the organization’s pandemic response. Before joining STOBG, Ramos was Associate Counsel and Deputy Director of Financial Disclosure Compliance at the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics. Ramos also served as external counsel at three prominent law firms.
Roger Saleeby – Senior Vice President, Global Services
As a project management professional with broad experience in design, construction, and real estate development, Roger Saleeby brings vital, strategic team leadership to the Global Services team. In addition to his responsibilities directly overseeing Global Services account executives and driving growth across markets, Saleeby leads the MSA committee in administrating a process for the evaluation, execution, and coordination of master service agreements across STOBG and co-sponsors the company’s Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Center of Excellence & Innovation.
Danielle Simone – Vice President, Regulatory Compliance Counsel
An experienced law professional, Danielle Simone joined STO Building Group after serving as Vice President at JPMorgan Chase. As Vice President, Regulatory Compliance Counsel at STOBG, Simone will continue develop and implement the organization’s anti-corruption program, including conducting internal investigations, managing third-party relationships, and overseeing the STOBG Supplier Diversity Program. Simone also supervises the department’s administration of labor and employment litigation.
Daniel Smith – Vice President STO Building Group Information Technology, Network Operations, and IT Security
Dan Smith is responsible for the STOBG network and IT security environment, which has grown significantly with the company’s growth. As Vice President, Smith will continue to oversee the network and IT security components and strategy, while also leading special projects including the infrastructure integrations of new merger partners. With an impressive career spanning over 40 years, Smith joined STO Building Group in 2007.
Jennifer Taranto – Vice President of Sustainability
Jennifer Taranto has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate and construction industry. She joined Structure Tone in Boston in 2001, first as a superintendent and project manager and then with the company’s Global Services team to help the organization become a leader in sustainable construction. AS VP of Sustainability, Taranto will continue to drive sustainability and wellness on our projects, in our workplaces, and through our organizational practices and policies.
Stephanie Tepperman – Vice President, Risk Management
Stephanie Tepperman joined STO Building Group in 2014 as Corporate Insurance Manager and has come to oversee the annual renewal of the company’s insurance program, subcontractor insurance compliance, and the day-to-day operations of the STOBG Risk Department. As Vice President, Tepperman will continue to help the company advance the way we manage risk and our partners.
