STO Building Group Names Amy Wincko Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence & Strategic Planning
New position reflects company’s continued growth
New York, NY (July 1, 2019) – Amy Wincko has joined the STO Building Group in the new position of Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence & Strategic Planning. In this position, Wincko will play a critical role in guiding the company’s continued success and growth.

Wincko comes to STO from AECOM and Tishman Construction, where she spent 18 years and most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Risk & Operations for Construction Services. Throughout her career, she has specialized in managing, assessing and improving on operational and administrative processes, including her company’s work on such high-profile projects as the World Trade Center Transportation Hub; Freedom Tower; 3, 4, and 7 WTC; and the One Vanderbilt tower now under construction.
At STO, Wincko will lead several operational initiatives, including rolling out a new quality program, chairing a risk committee, implementing a new preconstruction review board and vetting pursuits and progress of high-risk projects. She will also support the company’s merger and acquisition research and strategic planning and spearhead the integration process of the new firms joining the STO Building Group.

Wincko has earned a number of awards and accolades throughout her career, including being named a top young professional by both ENR magazine (2011) and Building Design + Construction (2012), receiving a Professional Achievement Award from Professional Women in Construction in 2011, and earning the AECOM CEO Award in 2015. She holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, a private secondary school for young women in Convent Station, New Jersey.
