Need help with your healthcare plan and other benefits?
Try reaching out to the person in your company who manages your benefit program. If you are unsure of who to contact, reach out to your direct manager or union representative. If you feel uncomfortable asking questions, follow option two below and contact your medical provider directly. You should not have to share any personal information; you’re simply asking what your company’s healthcare program includes.
Option 1: Questions for the Company
- What mental health resources are included in my healthcare plan?
- Are virtual (phone, video, or text) mental health therapy sessions included in my healthcare plan?
- What is the cost to access virtual therapy sessions?
- How do I access in-network providers?
- Are in-person mental health therapy sessions included in my healthcare plan?
- What is the cost to access in-person mental health therapy sessions?
- How do I access in-network providers?
- Do they have any apps available for mental health support (for example, meditation apps, text support, and coaching support)?
- What is the cost of using these apps?
- Does the company provide an Employee Assistance Plan?
- If the answer is yes:
- What is included for free in the plan?
- Who can utilize the plan (family, members of my household?)?
- How do I access the plan?
- Do the therapists work with my healthcare plan?
- If the answer is yes:
Option 2: If you do not have a person you can call, call the number on the back of your medical ID card and ask the following questions:
- What mental health resources are included in my healthcare plan?
- Are virtual (phone, video, or text) mental health therapy sessions included in my healthcare plan?
- What is the cost to access virtual therapy sessions?
- How do I access in-network providers?
- Are in-person mental health therapy sessions included in my healthcare plan?
