28 Fitzwilliam, which is the new home to SMBC Aviation Capital, forms part of the landmark development on the historic site of the former ESB offices in the heart of Dublin’s Georgian Quarter. SMBC Aviation Capital, Ireland’s largest aircraft leasing company and the world’s second largest aircraft leasing company, engaged Structure Tone to fit out a new state-of-the-art HQ office space.
Spanning eight floors, this impressive 135,000sf space features a new double-height auditorium and all-hands space that’s visible from the central circulation core and connects the main working spaces across the third and fourth floors. For the first time, these elements are distributed across two floors—a central feature of the design meant to foster a sense of connectivity within the workspace. The unique reception area features a high-level installation representing the rich cultural heritage of the company through its reference to both Irish and Japanese folklore.
The facility also includes an advanced lab for testing aviation fuel, executive meeting rooms on level six, a fully catered canteen, numerous micro kitchens, open-plan desk spaces, boardrooms, and a bespoke fully equipped gym.
