STOBG Names Brian Lynch Chief Financial Officer
Michael Whetstine is also promoted to a finance leadership role
NEW YORK, NY (April 22, 2025) – STO Building Group has promoted Brian Lynch to Chief Financial Officer, following a long career of financial leadership in the company’s businesses. Joining Lynch in the finance leadership team is Michael Whetstine, who has been elevated to STOBG’s Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer.

Lynch joined Structure Tone in 1988 and continued to take on finance leadership roles at Structure Tone London, Pavarini Northeast, and Structure Tone, where he served as CFO for nearly 15 years. In 2020, he was named Senior Vice President of Finance Operations at the STO Building Group level. In these roles, he has broadened his responsibilities to include financial oversight for STO Building Group as a whole, along with strategic input into the future growth and evolution of the organization. He takes over the CFO position from Brett Phillips, who spent 19 years in the role and recently retired.
Whetstine joined STO Building Group in 2020 as Senior Vice President of Finance. In this role, he has helped oversee the company’s financial health, including everything from annual audits, financial reporting, and funding to the efficiency of the company’s accounting systems and cash flow projections.
