Structure Tone Southwest walks 40 miles for charity, capping off 40 charitable events throughout 2017

The walk celebrates Structure Tone Southwest’s 40th anniversary and year of “40 Good Deeds” On November 17 nearly 80 employees from the Dallas office of Structure Tone Southwest walked a cumulative 40 miles to support Toys for Tots and to cap off a year of giving back to the North Texas community.

Our Structure Tone Southwest team was recently honored with three awards for local projects and for the company’s commitment to safety. The first two were from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), the international nonprofit trade association for the global tilt-up concrete construction industry, which is a method of building construction in which large concrete walls are lifted (tilted) into position.

Today, Structure Tone announced the appointment of Christopher D. Barbee, a PricewaterhouseCoopers’ veteran, to its Board of Directors. The addition of Mr. Barbee brings the number of independent outside directors seated on the organization’s ten-member Board to four. In his new role, he will serve as the chair of the Board’s Audit, Finance & Risk committee, overseeing the direction of the organization and monitoring its compliance efforts.

He will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of Structure Tone’s Ethics and Compliance Programs, as well as helping to further advance a highly ethical culture within the organization.
