Brevard County Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
The Brevard Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is one of the most activated EOC in the country and the most activated in the State of Florida.
This new EOC facility was designed to withstand 200 MPH hurricane force winds, large missile impact requirements, and all ICC 500 2014 (Storm Shelter Design) requirements. The building houses an emergency operations command center and a 911 Dispatch call center. The facility also includes offices, conference room, records storage, male and female sleeping quarters, full commercial kitchen, support space for Brevard County Traffic Management, Citizen’s Information Center, training rooms, media broadcasting spaces, back-up generators and ice storage. The EOC is capable of 24 hour operation with full redundancy for all utilities and is 100% fully functional and self-sustaining for 96 hours.
