57 Reade Street
The 57 Reade Street project required new residential construction for a cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure. As it stands at exactly at 20 stories high, the building consists of approximately 145,000sf on a 9,200sf “L-shaped” lot surrounding a New York City-landmark building. The new building also houses 84 luxury residential units, two below-grade levels, a lobby at-grade, and a two-story retail space.
Additional amenities to the structure include a sleek, blue-tinted glass façade with one bay of balconies at its south end. The narrow mid-block façade on the western portion of the north façade boasts a light-colored grid. The team demolished the existing buildings on-site, and the foundation phase was self-performed by 287 Broadway Holdings, an affiliate of the Chicago-based developer, The John Buck Company, a repeat client.
