AllianceBernstein
Our business model is built on the connections we have with our clients. That’s why, in 2018 when AllianceBernstein (AB), a multi-billion-dollar-firm, announced it would be moving its New York City headquarters to Nashville, TN, Layton Construction seized the opportunity to further develop the relationship between AB and STOBG’s family of companies.
For their new headquarters, AB acquired the top eight stories in Nashville’s Fifth + Broadway office building. Each floor includes its very own set of unique, high-end finishes that generate an industrial and productive atmosphere while also catering to its employees’ comfort and creativity. Upon entering, guests are greeted with brick accents, about 5,000 different light fixtures, and a combination of carpet and polished concrete floors for a discrete variation within each section of the floors.
Within the regular open common area, employees can have their privacy and confidentiality with breakout rooms that are meticulously sealed and soundproof. The top floor of the project is designed and built to be flexible, offering a large multi-purpose room, catering kitchen, dining room, and conference center which are all surrounded by tall, grandiose windows that overlook downtown Nashville’s rapidly growing skyline.
Although the space’s beauty stands out due to its quality design, it still required a strenuous, creative, and meticulous approach throughout the building process. Not only was the project situated on Nashville’s busiest street, but it also began during the COVID pandemic, making coordination and logistics for an already complex design harder for the Layton project team. Nevertheless, our Layton team was able to both turn over the project in flawless fashion while maintaining positive relationships throughout the complicated process.
