Structure Tone recently completed this 10,000sf lab expansion and renovation project for a confidential client in Devens, Massachusetts. The goal was to expand the manufacturing lab to accommodate additional testing of biological products. The team installed new lab equipment and relocated other equipment to fit the new space. Most of the work was completed during off-hours and performed in four phases to minimize disturbances to employees. The lab remained operational throughout construction.
Structure Tone New York provided construction management services for the two-floor build-out. The scope of work consisted of multiple amenities, including a general office space, four executive offices, six conference rooms, a reception area, an elevator lobby, two pantries, a dining room, an MDF and IDF room, a trading room, an A/V room, and a gym. A central café was also added to promote staff movement and encourage collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and community.
Structure Tone provided construction management services for a repeat client’s office fit-out on the 37th floor of the Grace Building at 1114 Sixth Avenue. Our team completed the full demolition of the 37th floor to prepare for this renovation, while also working on the 42nd, 43rd, and 44th floors. As Structure Tone has completed several projects in the building previously, for both the client and other tenants, our knowledge of the site logistics, building construction schedule, and vertical transportation plan allowed us to complete this project on time and within budget.
Layton Construction was selected as the general contractor for this large fulfillment center in Salt Lake City. This project required an extremely aggressive schedule in order to hit the client’s mission critical objectives, with significant earthwork and unique soil conditions. This client trusted the team to deliver this mega project within 12 months—which required incredible coordination and collaboration. The project team worked throughout preconstruction to provide predictable outcomes regarding date certainty, constructability, cost, schedule, and logistical challenges.
Located near Nellis Air Force Base in North Las Vegas, Project Tropical is a state-of-the-art fulfillment and distribution warehouse facility. With a footprint of 855,000 square feet, the four interior mezzanines and office space make the finished floor space closer to 2.3 million square feet. In order to meet the client’s mission critical objectives, the Layton team worked on an aggressive schedule—completing the large structure in 12 months.

A 200-year-old owner and operator of food and agriculture businesses selected Structure Tone as construction manager for the construction of their new headquarters at 767 Fifth Avenue. This one-floor build-out encompassed 35,000sf and overlooks Central Park.
Structure Tone Southwest provided preconstruction and construction services for a consulting firm, encompassing 7,900sf of existing and another 6,800sf of new office space. Both spaces were demolished and rebuilt using designs by Ziegler Cooper.
Structure Tone provided preconstruction and construction management services for a new 40,000sf, high-performance research computing data center, serving approximately 8,000 faculty and students.
