Columbia University Irving Medical Center – Columbia Doctors Tarrytown Radiology CT Replacement
LF Driscoll Healthcare led the renovation of an existing 448sf CT room to an updated CT scan room, which included minor selective demolition, renovation of the control room, a new HVAC system with exterior air-cooled condenser, electrical service, modification of the existing sprinkler system, as well as ceilings, millwork, flooring, and paint—all completed in an aggressive 6-week period.
The work site was within an active imaging facility with patient exam rooms and recovery bays. Our team performed work after hours when the facilities were not in use. Corridors and workspaces were cleaned after each night’s work, the team put ICRA protection in place prior to the start of work, and negative air was maintained during the course of the construction period. Demolition and removal were also performed after hours as not to impact the functionality of the adjacent imaging equipment.
