Completed in 2018, the UPS Regional Hub in Salt Lake City spans 863,100 square feet, features more than 300 inbound and outbound dock doors, and is capable of processing 69,000 packages every hour. Additionally, four to five outbound wings allow for the delivery vehicles to drive into the facility at a recessed level, parking in two densely packed rows across from exterior dock doors, facilitating local and regional distribution.
Lincoln Logistics 40, or “Lincoln Airfield”, is a 900,000-square-foot industrial building that sits adjacent to the Goodyear Airport. When it comes to features and amenities, this spec building developed by Lincoln Property Co.
Layton is providing design-build services on a three-phase, 50-bed medical facility, expanding and transforming an existing rehabilitation clinic into a state-of-the-art neuroscience hospital. The space will feature an inpatient progressive care unit, inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 16-bed neuro-intensive care unit (Neuro-ICU), and complete physical therapy and occupational therapy gymnasium areas.
Kapi’olani Medical Center is known for its tremendous care throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. Prior to the completion of this facility, children needing inpatient medical care were treated in an outdated building from the 1950s.
To better serve children’s medical needs, Layton and Abbott were hired to build a dedicated hospital focusing solely on pediatric care. The facility will provide 82 private patient rooms with shelled space for future needs, ten operating rooms, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a hybrid interventional cardiology and radiology suite.
After completing several projects on the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute campus, Layton was invited to perform another major expansion in 2019.
