United States
project
BCCI Construction was selected to build-out Kaiser Permanente's medical office space for the Adult Behavioral Medicine department. Completed on a fast track schedule in just 12 weeks, the space comprises private offices, group therapy rooms, and viewing rooms with one-way glass for observation. Due to HIPAA privacy rules, acoustics were an important consideration when planning the design and construction of the new space. In order to control noise, BCCI incorporated special drywall details, slab to slab walls – including the use of QuietRock – and caulking joints at the door frames. For security, panic buttons were installed in each office and the breakroom can be locked down in case of an emergency. In order to create a calm environment for patients, an architectural psychologist was brought on board to develop a soothing color scheme for the paint, carpet and artwork. Our team was able to achieve all of the special requirements and deliver a high-quality project on time and on budget.
