Lixil
Lixil, the parent company of American Standard and GROHE, amongst other brands, recently engaged Structure Tone NJ to help construct its New Jersey HQ. The project, spanning 65,000 SF over a single floor plate, was completed at 30 Knightsbridge in Piscataway, New Jersey. In addition to working alongside the client, the project team included landlord Keystone Properties, JLL Project Management, Gensler Architects, and Rock Brook Consulting Group. Serving not only as office space, but Lixil also utilized this opportunity to showcase many of their latest products, some of which are still under development.
The highlight of the space is Lixil’s top-of-the-line “Branding Restroom.” The restroom displays a myriad of products amidst a complete custom design and layout. Standard to fully automated restroom fixture, including a custom designed handwashing station, meet the demands of operations within a Covid-19 world. Additionally, the Branding Restroom included fully automated and touchless doors to enter/exit each individual restroom stall. The functions include opening, closing, and locking all operated with the simple wave or a hand.
The space also boasts various other impressive spaces including a large open ceiling design surrounding an interior courtyard featuring pendant lighting below custom colored k-13 Insulation. Additional branding niches, flushed with custom lighting, can be found throughout the space. Typical restrooms were also upgraded with the latest in GROHE and AS fixtures including digitally controlled commodes and odor absorbing wall tile- the latest in the LIXIL technology.
A space meant to function and showcase, the project was an exciting exploration in the latest and greatest regarding plumbing and lighting fixtures.
