DZ Bank
A Re-imagined NYC Headquarters
DZ Bank is the second-largest financial institution in Germany. Collaborating with and working from a design by TPG Architecture, Structure Tone built DZ Bank, a re-imagined NYC headquarters, creating a clean, bright office that reflects its corporate culture and values and encourages employee satisfaction, collaboration, and productivity. Structure Tone’s experience building out open work environments served as an advantage for completing the project and successfully achieving DZ Bank’s schedule and budget goals.
Located on the 49th floor and offering striking views of the Chrysler Building and Midtown Manhattan, DZ Bank’s space accommodates 96 people and includes a touchdown spot, a large boardroom, and smaller conference rooms. The office’s reception area is a welcoming first stop for employees and guests, with several hospitality elements, including a coffee bar and lounge. DZ Bank’s fine art collection also complements the floor’s design and refined atmosphere.
The team installed traditional glass-front offices along the perimeter and glass-fronted interior workstations within the general workplace. Large windows and high ceilings bring depth, dimension, and daylight across the floor. The office also features amenity spaces such as the staff café, multi-purpose rooms for client meetings or other employee gatherings, and a wellness room.
In addition to establishing a traditional space with a modernist design, DZ Bank is committed to sustainability and wellness for its employees, clients, and community. Thus, the project team took inspiration from One Vanderbilt as a state-of-the-art green building and created an office for DZ Bank is focused on energy, environmental design, and tenant health, safety, and wellness.
