Wix Dublin
Wix.com, a leading cloud-based web development platform, recently added a Customer Support Centre in Dublin to further enhance its global support infrastructure and international footprint. Structure Tone successfully tendered for the project and were appointed as main contractors assisting with design development, early procurement, and compliance with building regulations requirements.
The project took place over a 12-week programme and included an office fit-out featuring open plan office workspaces, a games room, kitchen and canteen space, and meeting rooms. Construction included the installation of raised access floors, partitions, specialist joinery and timber panelling, resin floor, vinyl, tile and carpet floor types, acoustic wall panels, manifestations, furniture installation, painting and decorating, and M&E services. The M&E works included heating, ventilation, water services, S&W drainage, power, data, access control, security, fire alarm installations, and lighting and emergency lighting. Structure Tone remained engaged post-occupancy to assist with the client’s move and to make sure the client was happy with the space.
What was particularly exceptional was that the finished result was delivered ahead of programme, on budget, and to a high standard which more than achieved Wix’s vision to accommodate staff of approximately 100 support specialists and office operations personnel. This was a huge moment of growth for the client as their operations team in Dublin officially began in September 2018, initially with a staff of nine. Their new space is contemporary and flexible with materials and branding that match their high calibre team.
Safety was key a priority on site from day one and remained in line with safety targets and audits 100% for duration of project. The maximum number of people on site at any one time was 60 staff members across a combination of 15 collaborating subcontractors working toward a common goal.
The fit-out has enabled Wix to recruit for additional growth investment into the next phase of its Customer Solutions organization.
Nir Zohar, President and COO at Wix said “We have significantly increased our global customer support team headcount since 2016, and with the addition of the team in Dublin in such a wonderful space, we’ll be able to better serve our European customers, and further support our millions of customers around the world.”
