Pavarini North East (PNE) has an extensive track record of delivering high-quality construction projects within the Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) Building in Hartford, CT. To date, PNE has successfully completed over a dozen interior fit-outs in the 24-story skyscraper, including the recent build-out for law firm Robinson+Cole, which opened its new headquarters in August 2024.
Occupying the top four floors of One State Street, this 200+ person office is the firm’s largest location nationwide. The project scope included a full interior build-out, with a focus on high-end finishes, advanced infrastructure, and flexible workspace configurations. The elevated location offers sweeping views of the Connecticut River, enhancing the workplace experience.
PNE collaborated closely with the design team from Studio Alliance and together, the teams delivered a modern, functional office environment that aligns with Robinson+Cole’s brand identity and operational needs. The construction program included:
- Conference rooms and huddle spaces with integrated AV systems and acoustic treatments
- Open collaboration zones featuring modular furniture for reconfigurability
- Glass-front partner offices to balance privacy with natural light and transparency
- A flexible conference center designed to host internal meetings, client events, and community functions
Employee wellness and workplace experience were key drivers in the design and construction process. PNE constructed ergonomic workstations with sit-to-stand desks, multiple pantry areas with premium appliances, and a café-style dining space with a mix of seating options. The office also connects to building-wide amenities, including a full-service cafeteria, fitness center, daycare, and golf simulator.
