Edelman
Structure Tone was engaged to reposition Edelman’s New York headquarters, modernizing multiple floors to align with the company’s current workplace standards and replace a decade-old build-out. The project delivered a refreshed, high-performance environment that exceeded client expectations.
Project Highlights
- Active Operations: Coordinated construction across select floors while Edelman maintained full operations on others.
- Remote Design Collaboration: With Gensler based in Chicago, our team relied on detailed RFIs and daily superintendent updates to ensure rapid, accurate decision-making.
- Scope Expansion: Midway through construction, Edelman introduced a large-scale A/V and low-voltage package critical to their operations. Structure Tone quickly integrated these requirements, minimizing schedule impact and operational disruption.
Execution Excellence, Sustainability, and Results
From day one, the team embraced an extreme-ownership mindset, setting clear expectations for coordination, quality, and speed. Weekly subcontractor meetings and on-site walkthroughs drove alignment, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient job site for over 100 daily workers.
To reduce waste, subcontractors were encouraged to maximize material efficiency, supported by weekly evaluations to identify reusable materials. This disciplined approach reinforced our commitment to sustainability.
The finished space includes renovated offices, conference rooms, a public assembly area for Town Hall use, and a rooftop pergola/terrace. Throughout the project, our team worked closely with Gensler to maintain clear communication and alignment on design goals. Regular updates, detailed RFIs, and joint problem-solving ensured that decisions were made quickly and effectively, allowing us to deliver a space that reflects a shared commitment to quality and functionality.
