MeiraGTx, Cellectis
Structure Tone completed work for two life science companies that moved into a commercial life sciences campus on Manhattan’s East Side.
MEIRAGTx
Structure Tone provided construction management services to MeiraGTx, a clinical-stage gene therapy company focused on developing potentially curative treatments for patients living with serious diseases, for the renovation of an existing open floor plan on the 14th floor. During preconstruction, we worked with the client to determine the exact layout of the floor. We provided budgeting and scheduling assistance so the project would remain on track into construction. During the fit-out, our team transformed the open area into research laboratories and office space, also modifying it to incorporate a new reception area and pantry.
CELLECTIS
Our team also managed the eighth-floor lab renovation for Cellectis, a French biopharmaceutical company that develops genome-edited chimeric antigen receptor T-cell technologies for cancer immunotherapy. The total renovation occupied approximately 3,200sf. During preconstruction, we identified and pre-purchased demountable partitions as a long-lead item. As construction progressed, we completed the demo phases; fabricated hardware; installed ceilings, flooring, and other architectural finishes; upgraded the mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems; and finished the painting and punchlist.
