LF Driscoll managed the construction fit-out of a new lab and office space for bioMérieux at 1201 Normandy, a core and shell building that LF Driscoll had recently completed.
The new facility will serve as the molecular innovation center for the French biotechnology company, housing its xPRO program for developing and manufacturing custom food quality and safety testing kits, as well as its predictive diagnostics innovation center.
Since building the core and shell, our team had a deep understanding of the building’s layout, making the MEP scope for the fit-out more efficient. The core and shell team utilized OpenSpace to document their work, allowing us to reference exact locations of connection points and valves, ensuring precise integration of new systems.
With a tight 10-month construction schedule, we optimized workflow by dividing the space into three sections and strategically stacking crews. This approach enabled us to work efficiently and safely, delivering the project on time.
