Broadway Education Campus
The New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) awarded Pavarini McGovern a new educational project called the Broadway Education Campus located at Broadway and Beaver Street in lower Manhattan. This school space is located inside the former headquarters for the Standard Oil Company and an NYC Landmarked building, a mixed-use facility.
The Pavarini McGovern team was selected as general contractor to deliver the complete build-out of the 104,000sf educational space on three levels. The project includes the ground level, first level, mezzanine, and second level for a new high school with a capacity for 677 students. The work also included the installation of a new HVAC and fire sprinkler system. A section of the building’s interior courtyard now accommodates a double-height physical education space as part of the adaptive reuse.
The Broadway Education Campus is the first NYC instructional facility in a leased space and will set the standard for the ongoing development of the SCA’s NYC Green Schools Guide.
