Cullen and Dykman LLP, a renown, growing northeast regional law firm has relocated its New York City office to One Battery Park Plaza. Christopher H. Palmer further stated, “With Structure Tone’s guidance and utmost professionalism at every step of the way, we were able to build out a first-class office space that will make us more efficient and will impress our team and our clients for years to come.”
During preconstruction, the Structure Tone team worked with Cullen and Dykman and TPG Architecture to design, develop, and build out an office that is both collaborative and efficient for partners and staff, allowing them to meet their clients’ needs and objectives. We then developed a project brief that addressed building function, space requirements, site information, cost/budget estimates, schedule targets, and commercial objectives.
Construction marked a major change for this 170-year-old law firm. The number of private offices decreased, as more of the floor plan was dedicated to a communal, collaborative environment, including open workstations and a hoteling program. Perhaps the biggest change occurred above employees’ heads, as our team opened the ceilings and left them exposed for a more modern look. Finishes, such as hardwood flooring, glass fronts on the private offices and conference rooms, and state-of-the-art A/V systems, also contribute to the office’s contemporary feel. One other highlight of the office is the café, from which employees enjoy impressive views of the Statue of Liberty and the Verrazano Bridge.
