General Growth Properties
Structure Tone managed the construction and build-out of General Growth Properties’ (GGP) New York offices located at 500 Fifth Avenue. This project served as an expansion to their existing office space which our firm had successfully completed.
Having previous experience working together, our firm understood GGP’s priorities and expectations for quality and schedule adherence. Our project team took a collaborative role working with GGP’s consultants, who were participating remotely. Our team completed mock-ups to demonstrate and test the office finishes. Through photography, PlanGrid and regularly scheduled conference call meetings, all aspects of the project were carefully reviewed and approved without delaying the schedule.
Our project team worked closely with GGP and their architect, Archideas, who are based out of Chicago, to establish a critical path of work, establish long-lead items and value engineering recommendations. The value engineering program served to enhance GGP’s design concept while maintaining their budget.
The finished space, encompassing approximately 17,000sf, features general office space, perimeter offices and open workstations on the west side of the floor plan. The east side of the floor features amenity spaces and conference rooms. All conference rooms feature state-of-the-art A/V systems, automatic “black-out” shades and sound-proof walls. The scope of work also included an employee lounge, a café space, a reception area, as well as support areas.
