Hackensack Meridian Health School of Medicine
Our firm renovated the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in Nutley, a project comprised of 24,000sf on the 4th floor of building 123 on their campus. The renovation focused on the 4300 pod and the 4500 pod. We renovated the existing administrative space in the 4100, 4200, & 4300 pods to optimize layouts. Other areas renovated include:
- Conversion of the 4100 Pod a total of 2,240sf of administrative space
- Conversion of 1,518sf of new private office space in the 4200 Pod
- Conversion of 1,400sf of new private office space to the 4400 Pod
- Retrofit of the 4300 Pod for approximately 9,000sf of instructional space
- Retrofit of the 4500 Pod for approximately 10,000sf of instructional space
The instructional space includes 2 large format lecture halls and 12 smaller breakout/conference rooms. Due to scheduling constraints, the building remained occupied during construction with classes in session. Our team was required to work within active areas, taking the proper safety precautions and providing the appropriate level of communication to ensure everyday operations were not disrupted.
