PUTNAM INVESTMENTS
For 40 years, Structure Tone has helped define what it means to build Boston. So, when Putnam Investments — a true Beantown original — needed a new headquarters, we were proud to deliver. Designed by Gensler, this 248,000sf space spans 11 floors at the iconic 100 Federal Street, featuring open offices, trading floors, conference centers, and collaborative spaces that reflect Putnam’s evolving culture.
This office is designed to accommodate a wide range of staff needs, offering everything from breakout spaces and traditional conference rooms to casual lounge areas. Construction also included a ground-floor walk-in center and a dedicated customer executive space. Minor renovations were made to an existing first-floor auditorium, which seats 155 people. On the second floor, a new conference center was added, complete with a full-service kitchen and server area. Additional features include a mezzanine level and an outdoor terrace. The space also houses trading rooms for approximately 125 traders. Each floor is equipped with kitchenettes that feature 10-person seating areas. A new tenant stair was constructed to connect all upper floors.
Our team successfully delivered a dynamic and multifunctional workspace tailored to meet a wide range of operational needs. Putnam office’s design and construction reflect the firm’s thoughtful integration of functionality, comfort, and collaboration across every floor.
