Bain & Company
Structure Tone provided construction management services for Bain & Company’s new Boston headquarters at 350 Boylston Street, delivering 210,000sf across eight floors. The project includes office and collaboration spaces on floors 2 through 8, with the 9th floor dedicated to reception, gathering areas, and a prep kitchen with commercial equipment. An internal staircase connects all levels, reinforcing vertical connectivity and ease of movement throughout the workplace. Our Boston team supported nine months of preconstruction and closely coordinated with the base building contractor prior to construction to align sequencing, logistics, and scope.
Designed to support the firm’s high‑performing teams, the workplace balances flexibility, focus, and connection through a diverse mix of work settings. Open collaboration areas, focused workspaces, and amenity‑rich gathering zones provide an environment that enhances productivity while fostering a strong sense of community. Employee engagement played a key role in shaping the space, with input incorporated throughout the design process to ensure alignment with day‑to‑day work patterns and improve overall space utilization.
Rooted in Boston’s local context, each floor draws inspiration from regional culture, creating a cohesive work experience. Wellness and sustainability are central to the project, with features including access to natural light, careful attention to acoustical and thermal comfort, wellness spaces, and curated amenities such as food service and social hubs. The project was awarded LEED v4 ID+C Platinum certification, reflecting Bain’s commitment to health, sustainability, and long‑term performance.
