Bell Works
Guardian Life Insurance Company (GLIC) wanted a bold, dynamic work environment for the new offices of its technology department at Bell Works. They also wanted an office that reflects the historic landmark that houses their space, designed by renowned architect Eero Saarinen in 1962. Working with Mancini Duffy to reinterpret the building’s architectural features, our team built GLIC an office that features vivid colors, polished finishes, and spacious workstations. Collaborative staircase stadium seating connects the two floors and acts as a focal point.
The new space supports a mobile and flexible workforce, with approximately 80% of GLIC employees using shared desking here. Taking advantage of Bell Works’ distinctive and innovative architecture, our team set up huddle rooms and other collaboration areas around the original perimeter corridor, using building columns as guides for organizing various departments.
