Structure Tone teamed with Boston Properties to complete a 35,000sf amenity center located on the 2nd floor of the GM Building and accessible via the lobby and elevator banks. Our scope of work consisted of an on-site conferencing and events center with three rooms divisible by vertical folding partitions, a reception lounge with full-service bar, a cooking kitchen with customizable menu and catering options, casual dining facilities, and first-class gym and spa for prioritizing wellness.
Construction of this space took place in an occupied building, including the installation of mechanical equipment and air quality monitoring. A portion of the floor sits over the lobby entrance at 59th Street, as well as certain retail tenants on the first floor. Our team coordination all construction activities to minimize impact to these tenants and other neighboring areas, plus enacted specific measures to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort during working hours.
