Iron Mountain Headquarters Relocation
Having outgrown its previous space at 745 Atlantic Avenue in Boston, Iron Mountain sought a complete re-envisioning of their global headquarters into a collaborative, state-of-the-art office environment to support its increasingly mobile workforce and to address the inefficiencies of its former workspace.
This vision included the adoption of a high-performance workspace strategy and the launch of a formal mobile workforce program called “Mobile Mountaineering.”
With a tight budget, choosing the right construction and design team was key to helping Iron Mountain deliver their vision at an established price point. We were brought on board early on alongside Margulies Peruzzi Architects to provide due-diligence to help inform the building selection.
The high performance workspace design of Iron Mountain’s new global headquarters at One Federal Street promotes collaboration, sustainability, and global branding. Their new 160,000sf space across two floors features an open, flexible, and efficient floor plan with low panel workstations, fewer offices, better adjacencies, an executive briefing center, and technology-supported conference and collaboration rooms.
