Structure Tone Southwest completed the 12,000sf of tenant improvement on the 11th floor within an occupied building for the urban-oriented, multi-media company.
The new multi-media facility includes nine soundproof studios for live radio broadcasts comprising of an imaging area, air studio, mixing rooms, production room, and voice studio. Each studio was constructed with triple layer drywall for sound proofing, sound windows, STC sound doors, and fabric wall paneling.
In addition to the broadcast facility, the project scope included construction of general office space including open office area and closed office space, conference rooms with aluminum and glass storefronts, IDF room, lounge, break-rooms, reception area and a large open sales area with hanging acoustical baffles for sound absorption. There were also specific HVAC requirements, including the installation of one new roof top unit with associated ductwork to isolate the studios from the base building system. The space also required a small data center with emergency generator backup power for the data center and studios.
