STO Building Group was founded in 1971 as an office renovation and construction firm, and many of our offices are still known for that expertise to this day. Each year, STOBG’s collective interiors teams manage the commercial office space for some of the world’s most forward-thinking companies, from global law and finance firms, to tech start-ups and powerhouses, to local not-for-profits.
Unlike most commercial construction companies—which focus on either large multi-million-dollar projects or smaller, one-off projects—we are purpose-built to accomplish whatever level of interior office renovation our client needs, from complete gut renovations to updated restrooms. We build long-term partnerships with leading companies to create and maintain quality workspaces that foster employee productivity, collaboration, and well-being.
While 80% of our projects are valued under $1 million, we also manage large, complex, iconic interior projects, from the new Google headquarters in NYC, to Ogilvy’s UK corporate headquarters in the prominent Sea Containers House in Central London, to Accenture’s flagship innovation hub in San Francisco’s Salesforce Tower.
As a commercial construction contractor, our expertise also encompasses new construction, including the repositioning of 441 Ninth Avenue into the 26-story Hudson Commons office tower in New York, American Water’s new headquarters along the revitalized Camden, New Jersey waterfront, and the tilt-wall construction of the new Carrollton, Texas campus for AmerisourceBergen.
We are proud that the majority of our business stems from repeat customers. We help clients optimize their space, budget, and schedule, and prepare for the future with efficient, flexible, and innovative workplaces. From modular partitions and walls, to smart building technologies, and everything in between, we build amazing spaces.
